| Beachcat Boats, Inc., one of the largest Manufacturers of recreational power catamarans, also produces a line of larger hulls for use as commercial vessels and as Coast Guard approved passenger vessels (T Boats). These boats are available in lengths of 26', 32’ and 38' with beams of 10' and 12'. The 12' beam boats can use one or two motors, either outboard or diesel I/O, between the hulls. The 10' hulls use one motor of either type. Boats with either beam can use two outboards, on brackets, behind the hulls. This configuration results in the power heads of the motors being about 8" lower. Maximum hull speed is 26 knots. The hulls are built using “aircraft style” construction techniques such as variable thickness fiberglass and an egg crated fiberglass bulkhead configuration. The deck is non-skid gel coated fiberglass with a core of chemically treated marine plywood. Beachcat also offers a wide variety or molded fiberglass furniture and fences. There are one, two, three passenger seats, based on 18" per passenger, corner seats, flip back seats, and even a dive seat for two divers and 4 tanks. Cushions are removable, covered with either Sunbrella or vinyl. PFD storage is normally under the seats. There is also a variety of consoles available including small ones, tall ones and one with an enclosed head underneath (a necessity on some vessels.) Marine toilets are available, as is pressure water. Beachcat’s modular “custom/production” technique of production an “all fiberglass” commercial vessel yields a low cost, low maintenance boat that reduces the initial investment as well as the overhead of the business. It allows the owner to configure the vessel for the exact use planned: ferry, excursion boat, parasail tender, fishing or dive boat, The linked drawings allow you to lay out the deck of a planned boat using the furniture outlines on the deck desired. Also included are cross sections prices and a typical deck layout. |
